Lullabies & Memories

Tonight, just before I went to bed, I started thinking of all the childhood songs and lullabies that I had learned growing up. In a matter of seconds, song after song played in my head. It all started with the thought of one of my favorites growing up called "Baby Beluga". I remember the lyrics exactly. It's funny how one minute I was thinking about my workout plans for the next morning and then in an instant, I started singing the lyrics in my head. It just popped in there. I then started thinking of other songs and lullabies like "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "The Cow Jumped Over The Moon" and it was like I never forgot them. The other day I even caught myself singing "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" over and over again. I think the thought of meeting you soon and being a new dad are bringing back precious memories. I can't wait to share these with you. It's going to be so much fun. I feel like I'll be able to be a kid again (at least in sprit). I also found some old Disney books the other day that my Grandparents had given me when I was younger. I pulled them out and glossed over a few of the pages and I was taken back to my childhood. Memories that I had long forgotten about had once again become unlocked and I remembered them as if they happened only yesterday. Words can't describe the feeling that I got from those memories. A whole new world awaits being your daddy and I am so excited!

Love,

Daddy
